Classic City Bags Aren’t Going Away
There’s just no stopping the Balenciaga City bag. Everyone has one. Everyone wants one. And if you don’t have one yet, this is a good one to bag.
This bag has been around since the year 2000, thanks to Nicolas Ghesquière ‘s helm under Balenciaga (he’s now moved as the creative director of Louis Vuitton a few years ago). Though you can always enjoy the staple colors and choose from an arraw of hardware styles, each season you can find yourself a unique design of a classic City.
If the amazing gray hue doesn’t catch your attention off the bat, then look at that intricate croc stamping. This is the kind of croc stamp and the kind of perfect alignment of patterns you could only dream of, a perfect incarnate in the form of a Classic City bag.
I especially love wonderfully croc stamped bags because it costs nowhere near croc exotic leather goods. (Also, it seems I have some feelings with exotic leather which I might explore as a blog post at a later time). It also adds a wonderful texture on a simple neutrally colored bag.
Even though it’s been 17 years since it’s debut, the Balenciaga Classic City bag can still leave you exhaling a silent kind of wow just under your breath.
