So Slick: Givenchy LC Smooth Leather Tote

There’s always a black men’s tote you need to add to your collection.

Givenchy has a well edited bag collection that makes it an easy brand to buy from. Their women’s bag designs translate well in the market, and on the streets. Whenever Givenchy ports their popular women’s bags into a men’s version, like the Nightingale, Lucrezia, and most recently the Pandora, it’s heaven for bag loving boys.

It’s a different story with the LC Tote. Born from the design markings of the Lucrezia bag, but in a north/south tote form factor. Making it look like a macho men’s bag that you can use everyday, everywhere. Its handles are also designed with a spiral leather detail that just adds just a bit of character to the otherwise boring and typical rolled leather top handles.

In case you like luxury goods but don’t necessarily want to walk around like a walking advertisement for the brand, it’s so nice to see Givenchy taking a step back by putting a blind stamp on the bag instead of the usual raised metal lettering.lc-smooth-leather-tote-bag-4

Though it’s overall an easy access, open tote, you can close it a bit with the top magnetic clasp so that you can feel a bit safe. There’s also a zipped pocket for more sensitive items you want to tuck away.

I’m so happy that Givenchy hasn’t forgotten the men’s lines. And while other brands are slow to cough out new styles, (or when they do, it’s a bit too fabulous to carry), seeing something like this from Givenchy gives me hopes that there are great under the radar bags for men out there.
