Catch the Coach Bleecker Day Totes
Prep for the big city in New York style! Coach’s Bleecker Day Totes this Fall/Winter 2014 season comes in nubuck center stripes. These Bleecker Day Totes are a wonder to behold. And being available everywhere, why haven’t you gotten one yet?
Coach is a beacon of metropolitan style. Their sleek inventory of gentlemen’s bags have always been a dependable wardrobe companions. It never goes out of style. So to see the Bleecker Day Totes in yet another incarnation, it didn’t take too much time to decide that this one’s a keeper.
Let’s start off with the looks. Its smooth leather is heaven to touch. It’s amazing how much you can fit in this bag. Interior is roomy, flushed inside with a pocket across at almost full length of the bag, and another zippered pocket on the other side. It opens with a clasp hook at the top. It also comes with a detachable cross-body sling. The bottom has four protective bag feet to keep it from scratching on the lower corners. And to finish it all off: it brandishes classy brass hardware.
When I came across these bags at the Coach store, it came in three colors. But it seems the dark brown leather with black nubuck center stripe has sold out. So the website only shows two remaining colors: in wet clay/frost blue nubuck stripe, or black/fawn nubuck stripe. And in case you don’t know about nubuck leather, it’s a less fluffy version of suede. And it’s just so addicting to touch.
Though I’m raving about this bag, there are a few kinks about it that I wish they’d change. The handles are flat. So for a roomy bag that you tend to fill up with many things, the handles tend to be a pain on the hands or the crook of the arm carrying it in long periods of time. Though I’m not normally a sling user, the sling is made of thick cotton, which makes me fear it’ll stain the shirt I’m wearing if I’m not careful. In other Coach bags, the slings are normally leather too, so it’s a wonder why the same wasn’t the case for the Bleecker Day Tote.
I still lug this bag around every chance I get, and it’s such a great bag despite the kinks. And with the dark brown one gone, I wouldn’t be surprised if these two other colors also sell off the shelves themselves.
